Reed is an instrument rated pilot who has researched fun places to fly for the past fifteen years. Most of his flight time is logged in mountains and deserts of the West. He publishes the Flyer's Recreation Guides, books that includes interesting and obscure destinations in the western states. In his spare time, he developes a recreational and residential airpark at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho (east of Pocatello).
